Introducing the AroundSchools Business Portal: list your kids' activity free, at Premium
23 September 2026
Every week, parents open AroundSchools to look at a school — and right under it, they see what runs nearby. The new AroundSchools Business Portal is how your business gets into that spot. Sign up in ten minutes, and your listing is created at our Premium tier, the one our search ranks first. It is free. There is no card to enter and nothing that turns into a bill.
If you run classes, a club, a studio, a camp or a program for kids anywhere in Australia, this is the launch offer to take.
What it saves you
Two things, and between them they are the reason to do this now rather than next term.
Save time
Signing up takes about ten minutes — an email, a password, and a six-step wizard that saves as you go. After that, most of the work you would normally do yourself is work we do for you.
- Send us your activity details and we make the promotion. A flyer for the noticeboard and the school bag, and a share-ready 9:16 promo video for Reels, Shorts and TikTok — built from your own photos, class times and prices, with a spoken voice-over. No designer to brief, no editor to learn, no software to buy.
- We put it in front of local parents. AroundSchools carries 9,358 school pages and activity pages for 2,829 suburbs, and your listing sits under the ones around you. Providers also get featured on our Facebook, Instagram and RedNote (小红书) accounts. You are borrowing an audience instead of spending a year building one.
- Every enquiry lands in one place. The parent's details, the class they asked about and the children they added, all in your portal inbox with a bell in the header — instead of scattered across email, Facebook messages and a notepad by the phone.
- The school-gate list is already done. Up to 30 schools within 3 km, with enrolments and distances, ready to use.
- Reviewed and live, usually within a day.
Save money
It is free right now — but "free" undersells it, because of everything you are not paying for.
- A Premium listing for a year, at $0. Every listing created in the portal is Premium — ranked above Basic and Free listings on aroundschools.com.au. Premium placement is $25 a month, so the launch year is $300 of ranking you are not being charged for. There is no card to enter, so nothing quietly renews into a bill; when the year ends the listing becomes a free Basic one unless you choose to upgrade. If that ever changes, this post is updated the day it does.
- No commission, ever. Parents contact you and book with you. We do not process bookings and we do not take a cut, so a full class costs you exactly what an empty one does.
- No designer and no videographer. The flyer and the promo video are made from what you already have.
- No ad budget to reach local parents. The school pages and our social channels are the distribution. You are not bidding against anyone for the same parents.
- No website to build or host. Your listing page and each event page already carry the dates, prices, photos and a Register Interest button, with Event structured data so Google can show them in search. For a lot of providers that is the whole online presence they need.
- No lock-in. No contract, no minimum term, and nothing to remember to cancel.

What you are signing up to: edit anytime, enquiries come straight to you, and no card details.
What you get
A listing, your business. Your logo, your photos (square ones sit best on cards), a description, categories, age range, contact details and video links. Set it up in a six-step wizard that saves as you go.
Classes parents can act on. "When does it run and what does it cost" is the first question every parent asks. In the portal, each class carries its own days and times, capacity, age range, price — per session, term or hour, or free — and up to six photos of its own.
Events on the pages parents plan from. Holiday camps, open days and come-and-try sessions go up as events, appear on our What's On and school holiday pages for your city, and disappear when the date passes. Fifty events are live across the whole site today, so yours will not be lost in a crowd.
Parent interest, straight to you. Every listing has a Register Interest button. Each enquiry arrives in your portal inbox with the parent's details, the class they asked about and the children they added — and a bell in the header tells you when a new one lands. Mark them New, Contacted, Won or Lost and keep your own notes.
A promotion toolkit. A clean public link, a QR code to print on flyers and banners, one-click shares, a "Featured on AroundSchools" badge for your website and an embeddable card.
Your phone number stays private unless you say otherwise. Parents reach you through the button; you decide whether to show the number.
The number nobody else can give you
Once your listing has an address, the portal lists up to 30 schools within 3 km — government, Catholic and independent — with its suburb, levels, enrolment and distance, and totals their students. That is your walking-distance audience, and the schools worth a flyer, a newsletter line or a stall at the fete.
Half of all venues have five or more school communities within 3 km; the top quarter have thirteen or more. It is a number worth seeing before your next term flyer — or your next lease.
Already in the directory? We will hand it to you
Most established businesses are already listed — usually as a name and a suburb and not much else. Email support@aroundschools.com.au with your business name and the link to your listing, and we send a claim link that attaches the existing listing, with everything it holds, to your new account. You take it from there. Two people can manage one listing, so a second coordinator can be added alongside you.
We will also put you in front of parents on social
Providers on AroundSchools get featured on our Facebook, Instagram and RedNote (小红书) accounts. The posts that travel are the ones a parent can act on this week — a holiday program with dates and a price, a beginner class with an age range — so send us that when you have it.
Get started in ten minutes
- Sign up at the Business Portal — email and password.
- Name it, place it, schedule it. The schedule step is the one parents care about: every class, every slot.
- Add photos. One is the minimum; three or more is better.
- Submit. A human reviews it, usually within a day, and it goes live at Premium.
- Open Promote. Download your QR code and read the schools list.

Step one, in full: name, email, password. There is no payment step.

Frequently asked questions
Is it really free? Yes. There is no paid plan in the portal, and listings created in it are set to the Premium ranking tier.
Do I need an ABN or a business website? No. A business name and an address parents can find are enough. There is an ABN field if you want it shown.
Can I list more than one venue? Yes — each venue is its own listing, all under one login.
How fast does it go live? Listings and events are reviewed by a person before they appear; the portal says usually within 24 hours.
What if my business is already listed? Email support@aroundschools.com.au with the listing link; we send you a claim link and the listing becomes yours to edit.
