Enrolment & Admissions
What is the enrolment process and timeline?
Enrollment typically begins the process at a designated time each year. Prospective families usually complete an online application or submit a form to the school, providing required documents (proof of residency, immunisation records, and birth certificates). The school may also outline an intake timeline, including initial notification, interviews or information sessions (if applicable), and final placement decisions. Orientation or welcome sessions are often offered prior to the new school year.
Is there a waiting list, and how does it work?
Some year levels or classes may have limited vacancies, resulting in waitlists. Waiting lists are generally managed by year level and order of application, with priority given to catchment students or siblings of current students where applicable. The school will inform families of their position and expected timelines if a place becomes available.
Are there any entry requirements, tests, or interviews?
Most enrolments for public primary schools do not require entrance testing or formal interviews. Some programs or late-year admissions may involve a short information session or discussion about student needs and supports. Documentation showing eligibility, immunisation status, and residency is typically required.
Does the school accept mid-year transfers?
Mid-year transfers are possible if there are vacancies and the placement aligns with class schedules. Families seeking mid-year transfer should contact the school early to discuss availability, transition planning, and required documentation, including transfer records from the previous school.
