What a Catholic school near Erskineville costs, and what decides it

The Catholic primary in Erskineville itself is St Mary's, founded by the Sisters of Mercy and now part of Sydney Catholic Schools. The first thing to know about its fee is that there is no single price list for the whole system.

Sydney Catholic Schools sets fees school by school. Schools whose communities have a higher "Capacity to Contribute" score generally charge more, and schools with a lower score charge less (school fees and assistance). So the figure to ask St Mary's for is its own, and it comes in three parts:

If a family is in genuine financial hardship, the system says that should not be a barrier: ask the school about fee assistance.
