Catholic school holidays, from Chippendale

Government school dates — individual schools can vary by a few days. · source

Those are the public-school dates. Sydney Catholic Schools publishes its own calendar, and the two do not always match to the day. This year, Sydney Catholic Schools lists its fourth term as starting on a Monday. The public-school calendar makes that same Monday a school development day, and students return on the Tuesday. Both calendars finish the year on the same Thursday. Sydney Catholic Schools also tells families to check with their school, because "dates will vary".

In practice, check the calendar of the school your child actually attends:

• St James Catholic Primary School in Glebe and St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Erskineville are Sydney Catholic Schools primaries, so start with the system calendar, then confirm with the school.
• St Scholastica's College in Glebe is run by Good Samaritan Education, not the system, so its own site is the only calendar that counts.
